PROBLEM SKIN

problem skin
There are many causes of problem skin. Disorders of the skin barrier, hormonal influences, genetic factors or inflammatory processes often play a role. External influences such as environmental factors, stress or unsuitable skincare products can also have a lasting effect on the appearance of the skin.
As different skin conditions can appear similar on the surface, a dermatological assessment is advisable. During our dermatological consultation, we examine your skin carefully and distinguish between different skin conditions such as acne, rosacea or other forms of problem skin. The aim is to identify the underlying causes and classify the skin condition from a specialist perspective.
Based on this assessment, we will discuss together which further steps are medically advisable. Depending on the condition of your skin, various treatment approaches can be considered, each tailored individually to your skin type, the severity of the condition and your personal needs.
Effective treatments include, for example:
- Medicated treatments
- Hydrafacial® (see the Hydrafacial page)
- Microneedling (see the Microneedling page under Aesthetics)
- Fruit acid peels (see below)

Hydrfacial®
Blemished skin, enlarged pores, a dull complexion or an overall uneven skin texture can be specifically improved with a medical fruit acid peel. The fruit acid peel using the NeoStrata® ProSystem is a dermatologically supervised treatment designed to renew the skin’s surface.
Fruit acids in various combinations and graduated concentrations are used, including glycolic acid, mandelic acid, lactic acid and citric acid. These allow the treatment to be tailored to the individual’s skin type and condition. Fruit acids dissolve dead skin cells, reduce calluses and promote natural cell renewal.
A fruit acid peel is particularly suitable for dull-looking skin, a tendency towards blemishes or an overall tired complexion. Through the controlled renewal of the upper skin layers, the skin can appear clearer, fresher and more even-toned.
After the treatment, there may be mild to moderate, temporary flaking. This reaction is part of the desired effect. As a rule, patients can still go out in public immediately afterwards. Several sessions at defined intervals are usually required for a lasting improvement in the skin’s appearance.
The aim of the treatment is a clearer, fresher-looking complexion, a refinement of the skin’s surface, and better regulation of calluses and blemishes.
