Glatte glänzende Haut
Rosa Farbe im Aquarell Look

polynukleotide.

  • Is the application of BotulinumtoxinA (BTX) painful?
No, a BTX injection does not have to be painful. I attach great importance to treating my patients as painlessly as possible. I therefore only use the finest needles available on the market and combine this with a special, pain-free injection technique. If necessary, a pain ointment can also be applied locally if you have any concerns before the injection or suffer from a high level of pain.
  • How can I prepare for my BTX treatment?
You should avoid alcohol and blood-thinning medication before the treatment to minimize the risk of bruising.
  • Can I continue my normal activities after BTX treatment?
Yes, you can usually resume your normal activities immediately after treatment. However, it is recommended to avoid intense physical exertion and sauna visits for at least 24 hours after the injection.
  • Can I use BTX during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?
It is recommended to avoid BTX treatment during pregnancy or breastfeeding, as the safety of the medication for the fetus or breastfed baby has not been sufficiently investigated.
  • What is BTX and how does it work?
BTX is an injectable medication derived from the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. It is used to relax muscles by blocking the release of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter responsible for muscle contraction.
  • Which areas can be treated with BTX?
BTX is often used to treat wrinkles and fine lines on the face, such as crow's feet, forehead wrinkles, frown lines and neck bands (platysma lines). It can also be used to treat excessive sweating, migraines, teeth grinding (bruxism) and muscle tension.
  • How long does it take for the results of BTX to become visible and how long does it work?
The results of BTX are usually visible within 3-10 days after treatment and can last up to 3-6 months. The duration of effect can vary from person to person and depends on factors such as dosage and individual metabolism.
  • Is BTX safe and are there any risks or side effects?
BTX is generally safe when administered by an experienced plastic and aesthetic surgeon or an experienced dermatology specialist. However, as with any medical treatment, there may be risks and side effects, such as pain or bruising at the injection site, headaches or temporary muscle weakness.
  • Can BTX be used by anyone and are there any contraindications?
BTX is safe for most people, but there are some contraindications. It should not be used on pregnant or breastfeeding women, people with certain muscle or nerve conditions, or people taking certain medications. It is therefore important to tell your doctor about your medical history and any medications you are currently taking before undergoing BTX treatment.
  • How do I choose a qualified and experienced doctor or surgeon for my BTX treatment?
It is important to choose a qualified and experienced doctor or surgeon for your BTX treatment. Look for a board-certified plastic or aesthetic surgeon who has extensive experience in applying BTX.
